Engineered for shipboard operation, the robust 2000MS true online
uninterruptible power supply (UPS) provides excellent continuous protection from power disturbances to sensitive electronic loads. DRS Univeral Power Systems 2000MS is the newly configured and tested UPS designed to supply up to 2000VA output power and meet naval mil-specs for shock and vibration.
Rugged 3U construction and advanced design makes this Naval
Series UPS ideal for the support of shipboard C4I applications,
transportable systems, workstations and fileservers, and LAN/
WAN systems. An internal input isolation transformer enables the
2000MS UPS to operate from delta power sources and shields
the UPS itself from the damaging effects of electrical spikes and
transients. The automatic bypass switch on the front panel
provides an alternate source of power in the event of an overload
condition or internal failure within the UPS. The 2000MS can be
configured for optional SNMP capabilities and the standard LAN/
RS-232 interface port enables a user to remotely access a
complete array of power monitoring, UPS control, and system
shutdown capabilities.
Easy set-up and plug-and-play operation make start-up of the
2000MS effortless. A front removable battery pack allows for
simple battery replacement and reduces transport weight. The
intelligent design of the 2000MS includes single point grounding
to eliminate common mode noise and input power factor
correction (>.98) to maximize power capacity.
Each unit is equipped with front panel control of the three duplex
5-20 output receptacles on the rear panel. Illuminated front panel
indicators provide the user with the percentage load and battery
capacity, visual and audible alarms, and complete fault diagnostics.
